Once there was a house
Built with the love of a man of great will.
It was a house at the top of a hill
Surrounded by blue and green.
Those who would see it would exclaim
Oh what a beautiful house you are, you are
Oh what a beautiful house you are.
For the house enclosed great joy and tenderness
Symbol of a life of struggle.
A joy that made the house so radiant that
Those who would see it would say
Oh what a beautiful house you are, you are
Oh what a beautiful house you are.
Years went by
and the house gave happiness to many
And sadness to few.
It was a house at the top of a hill
Surrounded by trees of precious pomegranates.
Those who would see it would chant
Oh what a beautiful house you are, you are
Oh what a beautiful house you are.
But days would come
Where joy would end
And so it was
The house was sold.
Now, if you listen carefully, you
might as well hear this girl
Whispering within her nightmares
Oh what a beautiful house it was, it was
Oh what a beautiful house it was…
